The latest version for Kindle Fire is Kindle Fire HDX. Whereas the Pandigital Nova is almost obsolete now as the company cancelled all warranties because of liquidation. So if you want the best device between these two, the Kindle Fire HDX would be better option.
You would find this Review on Kindle Fire HDX (In comparison to other tablets) to be really helpful:
- 1920*1200 HD display @323PPI
- 2.2Ghz Quad core processor
- 16/32/64Gb with 2Gb RAM
- Front facing HD camera
- LTE capability
- Amazon app store with over 100k apps
- Dual WiFi antenna
- Digital Dolby Stereo speakers
All of these features are WAY better than what you would find on the Nova tablet. On the other hand, the Nova tablet comes with 800*600 resolution Resistive touch screen, which is like the worst touch screen ever added to any device as you need to press it hard to make it work. Plus the 800*600 itself is a pretty bad and outdated resolution now-a-days devices.
For the features, price and after looking at all the aspects, I would definitely recommend you to go for the Kindle Fire HDX as the best option.
